Meet Lauren.
I’ve always loved art and creating, but it wasn’t until planning my wedding that I felt the pull to get my hands dirty with clay. My husband and I had a small, intimate ceremony on the dock of our family camp — a perfect autumn day just past peak season in the Adirondacks. As a token of thanks, each guest received a locally handmade mug. Holding those unique pieces, feeling the care, craft, and love poured into them, sparked something in me. I knew I wanted to try it for myself.
Fast forward to April 2024, when I took my first 5‑week pottery class. I was instantly hooked. Over the following months, I fell in love with the slow, grounding rhythm of the process. Pottery taught me to take my time, to be present, and to appreciate each moment at the wheel. I like to joke that pottery isn’t just about centering your clay — it’s about centering yourself.
My love of pottery and nature naturally intertwined, inspiring many of my pieces. There’s something special about creating with the earth itself. Whether you bring home one of my mushroom mugs or a salad bowl for your family table, know that each piece is made with care, intention, and deep appreciation for the world around me.
Today, I create ceramics from my home studio in Northern New York, surrounded by forests, parks, and lakes that continually fuel my creativity. When I’m not in the studio, you’ll find me running trails, lost in a good book, or spending time with my three dogs — Sophie, Gin Gin, and Chili — and my incredible husband, who encourages me every day to create and share my work.
Thank you for supporting my small business and valuing the beauty of things made slowly.
